I went to the ENT doctor this past Tuesday and came away feeling hopeful! He said he is certain there is nothing wrong with my inner ear, did a hearing test and it is about the same as the first one, which is good news. I described my symptoms to him and he thinks I either have microvascular compression syndrome, where a blood vessel compresses the vestibular portion of the 8th cranial nerve causing the symptoms I have. Or it is vascular loop syndrome. I'm not clear exactly what that is ~ but at least we have a direction and something specific to look for.
We are driving to Denver on Sunday and the angiogram is scheduled for Tues. Jan. 11. It's supposed to snow on Sunday so please pray for clear roads and safe travel. And as always, for guidance and wisdom for Dr. Frei and us. I am hopeful. And God is the God of hope! I have put my trust in Him and I will wait for Him.
Blessings to all,
Jeanne
It's always good to have a direction. We may have to make another turn, somewhere, but it's better than standing still... and way better than turning around!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the ENT gave you some ideas. It's always good to get opinions that have basis in experience and knowledge :-)
Perhaps we will get a chance to touch base in Denver, depending on your schedule and ours. We will arrive sometime Wednesday. Supper one of those nights would be fun if our time overlaps!
Love you much - enjoy your last days with Peter as a great distraction!
sounds great something Positive we have been praying and GOd does answer:)
ReplyDeleteWe have been praying for you and will continue to pray for you. It is so hard not to know what the problem is. Our prayer is that on this trip you will find the answers. God bless you. Pam for the Krienkes
